Privacy Policy

What information we collect and why
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, delivery address, and order details. That’s it. We use it to get your order to you and to talk to you about it — nothing else. We don’t sell your information, we don’t pass it to third parties for marketing, and we’re not interested in your data beyond what it takes to do our job properly.
If you create an account on our site, we store the personal information you provide in your profile. You can view, update, or delete it at any time by logging in. Website administrators can also view and edit that information.

Payments
Payments are processed via SnapScan and direct EFT. Card payments and scan-to-pay are handled securely by SnapScan — we never see, store, or touch your card details. For authorised refunds, your banking details are used to confirm payment and nothing more, and that’s only if we can’t refund your credit card.

Comments
If you leave a comment on our site, we collect the information in the comment form along with your IP address and browser details for spam detection. Approved comments and profile pictures are visible publicly. We retain comment data indefinitely for moderation purposes — this is standard practice and falls within acceptable use under POPIA, provided comments don’t contain unnecessary personal information.

Cookies
If you leave a comment, you can opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies so you don’t have to fill them in again. These last for one year. If you log in to an account, cookies will save your login information and display preferences — login cookies last two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”. A temporary cookie with no personal data is set when you visit the login page; it disappears when you close your browser.

Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you. You also have the right to object to how we process your information, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at https://www.justice.gov.za/inforeg if you think we’ve got it wrong. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [eff.this.tee@gmail.com]. We’ll respond within 30 days.

Information Officer
In terms of POPIA, Effing Tees has designated an Information Officer responsible for keeping us honest about how we handle your data. You can reach them at [eff.this.tee@gmail.com].

How long we keep your data
We keep order and customer information for as long as legal, tax, and administrative obligations require. You can request deletion of your personal information at any time — we’ll action it unless the law says otherwise.

Where your data is sent
Comments may be run through an automated spam detection service. Payment data goes to SnapScan, securely. Your IP address may appear in password reset emails. That’s the full list — no surprises.
